Noah Skelton

Hello, I'm Noah Skelton.

I'm a software developer by trade, I also produce electronic music and take photographs occasionally. I live in Berlin, Germany and i'm originally from Dublin, Ireland.

I've been a full-time software developer for roughly 6 years. I focus nearly totally on backend development, but i'm working more and more on the full stack since agentic coding has become the standard way of working.

I currently work as a Staff Engineer at Peec AI in Berlin - an AI search analytics platform that helps you track your brand in AI search results on platforms such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude etc. I work on the Platform team, building and maintaining our services on Kubernetes on GCP. I also work on building out our web scraping infrastructure. Our stack, for the most part, is Typescript, Bun, Postgres, ClickHouse, Kubernetes, Redis and Google Pubsub.  I led the migration of our backend services on serverless cloud functions to Kubernetes, and also led the rebuild of our scraping pipeline from the ground up.

Previously, I worked on the orders and trading squad at lemon.markets, a brokerage infrastructure platform that allows businesses to easily integrate with the stock market through a really well designed API.
Some of the larger projects I led include the pre-settlement portion of the Mutual Fund trading system, tax exemption infrastructure (Sparerpauschbetrag), and the treasury API, which wrapped the aforementioned Mutual Fund trading system into a savings-like investment product. We used Python and Temporal heavily, deployed in Kubernetes on AWS, with Postgres and some Kafka.
I learned a lot about designing great APIs at lemon.markets, and how to build deterministic, reliable, reconcilable and observably trading systems in a highly regulated environment.

I've also worked at Liefergrün, Peakon, and Vectra AI.
